Telford United is participating in a countrywide effort to bring supporters back to arenas following the health crisis.
On the second of April, 2022, any individual purchasing a lottery ticket can bring a companion to Telford United’s game versus Gloucester City without charge. The team trusts this action will aid in recouping some of the income missed during the health crisis when spectators couldn’t be present for games.
This endeavor is a component of a broader program known as National Lottery Football Weekends, which has already granted £12.5 million (approximately $16.8 million) to more than 230 clubs throughout the United Kingdom. Within this program, clubs can select one home game in March or April to provide this unique “buy one, receive one free” ticket promotion.
The Telford United squad expresses immense pride in their strong bond with the nearby residents. This critical financial aid is a saving grace – it ensures the continuation of their efforts and enables them to carry out initiatives that significantly impact their supporters and the surrounding populace.”
