They aim to utilize Low6’s proficiency to construct captivating games, including prediction-based competitions for prominent leagues such as the NFL and NHL.
This collaborative approach is gaining momentum in the United States, with teams like the Indianapolis Colts already offering similar prognostication contests supported by industry giants like Caesars. The objective? To entice new participants and provide casual fans with a glimpse of the excitement without the financial obligations associated with conventional sports wagering.
Milena Teskova, CEO of BQC Consulting (the entity behind Bet99), views this as a means to enhance fan involvement and draw in new users. Josh Turk, Low6’s Chief Strategy Officer for North America, concurs, emphasizing that free-to-play serves as an excellent method to introduce novices to the realm of sports betting. These games offer a secure setting where fans can grasp the fundamentals, comprehend odds, and become acquainted with various wagering options.
This initiative comes at a pivotal juncture as Bet99 sets its sights on the expanding Ontario market, which recently embraced mobile and single-event sports betting.
The Ontario regulator for alcohol and gambling has granted preliminary approval to Kings Entertainment’s brand. However, the company awaits the final go-ahead from iGaming Ontario to officially commence operations.
Simultaneously, Kings is taking steps to purchase Sports Venture Holdings, the organization that owns the well-known Canadian sports wagering platform, Bet99.
To finalize the agreement, Kings is convening a gathering of its stakeholders on October 25th to secure their endorsement.
