Allwyn, a prominent international lottery corporation, is expanding its reach into the North American market, commencing with a rebranding initiative for its Illinois division. Previously known as Camelot Illinois, the branch will now operate under the name Allwyn North America, a strategic decision aimed at solidifying the company’s foothold in the area.

This development follows Allwyn’s acquisition of Camelot UK Lotteries in February, which was formerly managed by the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board. As a major player in the European lottery sector, Allwyn recognizes significant opportunities in North America. The rebranding effort reflects their commitment to investing in the region’s potential.

Currently, it’s a seamless transition for Allwyn North America, with the team, operational procedures, and all other aspects remaining unchanged. Robert Chvátal, Allwyn’s CEO, underscored the significance of the North American market for the company’s growth trajectory and emphasized their dedication to ethical gaming practices and contributions to local communities.

In essence, Allwyn is poised for a lasting presence and prepared to make a notable impact on the North American lottery landscape.

The head of Allwyn’s North American operations, Wayne Pickup, stressed their focus on improving the lottery system within Illinois. He underscored their promise to surpass player satisfaction, engage a broader demographic of participants, and ultimately boost income to support regional areas. Pickup conveyed assurance in Allwyn’s international capabilities and knowledge to propel positive outcomes for both Illinois and its invested parties.
