A digital payment platform, Skrill, has inked a significant sponsorship agreement with LA10 Football Club in Los Angeles. The club is supported by Alessandro Del Piero, an Italian football icon.
Skrill, a component of the Paysafe Group, will become the new jersey sponsor of the club, which was established last September.
Skrill will leverage the club’s and its own social media platforms to publicize the new collaboration.
Skrill will also gain from a closer connection with team owner Del Piero. The former Italian national player and Juventus legend has been collaborating with Skrill since May 2018.
“This represents a substantial marketing investment for Skrill and Paysafe, and a crucial element of our expansion strategy,” stated Skrill CEO Lorenzo Pellegrino.
“We are aware that Alessandro is exceptional and this new endeavor is highly thrilling. I am certain that we will position Skrill as the preferred choice for millions of new consumers globally.”
Alessandro Del Piero, the captain who guided Italy to World Cup glory in 2006, stated: “Since collaborating with Skrill, I’ve been continually impressed by their technological prowess and dedication to customer support. I’m delighted they’ve decided to sponsor LA10.”
LA10 will compete in the United Soccer League commencing in the spring of 2019.
