The British Horseracing Authority has inked a five-year agreement with Playtech to introduce casino offerings and sports wagering.
Playtech, a gambling technology firm, will craft a variety of casino games based on the races and courses managed by the Jockey Club. These games will encompass casino, live dealer, poker, virtual sports, and bingo. The initial product will be unveiled during the Cheltenham Festival, which is scheduled from March 15 to 18, 2022.
The Jockey Club is thrilled to collaborate with Playtech, whose expertise will aid them in bringing their brand to the online gambling marketplace. Both entities prioritize responsible gambling in their products.
Playtech recently made its debut in Canada through a partnership with NorthStar Gaming and has also established two live dealer studios in Michigan and New Jersey.

In the tenth month of 2021, Playtech’s board of directors resolved to sell the company to Aristocrat, an Australian firm specializing in the production of slot machines. The transaction was valued at £2.7 billion, but it ultimately failed to materialize due to Playtech’s inability to secure sufficient shareholder approval.
